For the filing of Small Claims, the individual(s) or business being taken to court must reside within the Town of Dix and the maximum claim is $3,000.

On 12/27/20 the “Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021” was signed into law by the president.  That law (found here:  Link) contained a provision extending the CDC agency order prohibiting evictions in certain cases through January 31, 2021.  The extension is contained on page 2,281 of the bill, and reads as follows:

 SEC. 502. EXTENSION OF EVICTION MORATORIUM. The order issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under section 361 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 264), entitled ‘‘Temporary Halt in Residential Evictions To Prevent the Further Spread of COVID–19’’ (85 Fed. Reg. 55292 (September 4, 2020) is extended through September 1, 2021, notwithstanding the effective dates specified in such Order.
